Definitely because I can carry out any ideas, such as weddings, school proms, anniversaries, engagements, sport events, acknowledgements, presents with company logos, gifts (funny or erotic). In my records I have about 10 000 motives and am constantly updating them. Most of them are my own products. All techniques I use can be applied on ceramic or metal.
The technique of etching is relatively new technique of decorating glass. It is breaking the top layer of glass by sand. Using different intensity pressure of air we can achieve interesting results: such as different depths of etching, stratify visage or gentle shading. We can do anything on the glass, ceramics or metal by this technique.
This is a technique where a diamond tip of the grinding machine breaks the top enamel. Engraving is used for creating gentle shapes for example flowers. As well as etching, engraving has huge applications.
Painting is surely the oldest way of decorating glass. The glass industry uses paints that are burned together with the glass in very high temperatures. I have been using paints that are more ecological, need lower heat and are suitable even for children's painting.
Painting means decorating the top layer of glass. It does not break the structure. Too much force could break the enamel and there for prove unsuitable for dishwashers.
Because I have only started with painting technique a few months ago I am still learning and trying out different combination of painting and etching.
I have lots of plans such as decorating glass with little beads, semi-precious stones etc. Also I am going to start producing my own ceramic.
